Come funziona il Tour?

Il nostro Tour dell’Aurora inizia e termina a Rovaniemi, in Finlandia. Per prendere le migliori decisioni possibili, decidiamo l’orario di partenza del Tour ogni giorno individualmente a seconda del tempo e dell’attività solare. In ogni caso iniziamo tra le 15:30 e le 20:00 – a seconda delle condizioni di ogni giorno.

Cacciare L’aurora boreale non significa solo trovare cielo sereno, serve inoltre una buona attività solare e la comprensione il tempo reale dei dati. Ecco perché le nostre cacce all’aurora partono solo se pensiamo che ci siano buone possibilità di vederla. Nel caso in cui le condizioni sono troppo sfavorevoli, cancelliamo il Tour. (nessuna notte sprecata)



Distanza in auto

Inseguiamo il cielo sereno ovunque si trovi → a volte può significare percorrere fino a 800 km tra andata e ritorno. In media percorriamo 200 km a notte, ma la distanza può variare. Il tour può durare dalle 4 alle 12 ore, a seconda delle condizioni meteorologiche e dell’attività solare.



Con questo approccio flessibile, otteniamo circa il 95% di possibilità di vedere l’aurora boreale. Vedere l’aurora boreale non può mai essere garantito al 100%: è un fenomeno naturale che dipende dall’attività solare, dal tempo e dal cielo sereno. Ma ci assicuriamo di fare tutto ciò che è nelle nostre possibilità per ridurre al minimo il bisogno di fortuna.



Durante ogni tour non ci limitiamo a inseguire l’aurora boreale, ma la immortaliamo per te. Tutti noi siamo appassionati fotografi di aurore e tutte le foto scattate durante il viaggio sono incluse nel prezzo. Questo significa che potrai vivere il momento e condividerlo con amici e parenti a casa.



Buono a sapersi

I nostri tour sono all’insegna della pura caccia all’aurora: ci concentriamo al 100% sulla ricerca dell’aurora boreale nel miglior modo possibile. Ciò significa che cibo e bevande non sono inclusi. Dato che potremmo trascorrere molte ore all’aperto, sei invitato a portare con te i tuoi snack e le tue bevande. 🙂



Prezzi

Il costo del Tour dell’Aurora è di 200 euro a persona per i mesi di settembre e ottobre.
Da novembre a fine stagione (inizio aprile) il prezzo è di 210 euro a persona.
Per le vacanze di Natale e Capodanno (22 dicembre – 6 gennaio) il prezzo è di 250 euro a persona.
Tutti i prezzi includono il 25,5% di IVA.

Il tour verrà pagato per intero solo se vedremo l’aurora boreale. Se per qualche motivo non dovessimo vederla, pagherai solo 20 euro a persona per coprire la benzina.

Addebitiamo un costo di prenotazione di 100 euro a persona, che poi verrà scalato dal prezzo totale. Il resto del prezzo verrà pagato dopo il tour in contanti o con carta. Se il tour viene cancellato a causa del tempo o dell’attività solare, riceverai un rimborso completo.

This is our first attempt to chase the aurora and we are glad we caught it with the passionate folks from Artic Road Trips.

We took a gamble after seeing their IG and Google reviews but it turned out to the best thing ever - they are not bounded by KM to HR - they kept going till we spot the northern lights activities.

Booking a trip was simple. Sign up and they will be in touch leading up to your trip via WhatsApp.

Then on the actual day of the adventure, they will let you know the time for pick up.

Our guide, Romain was attentive, detailed, careful and very knowledgeable. Despite the cloudy and rainy day, we found our way to a spotting of a low grade activity but he was very persistent and he knew where to hunt for the next spot. Hearing him and see his photos gave us a lot of comfort that we will find something and boom it happened.

Our Northern Lights hunt with the Arctic Road Trip team was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives! We chose the “One Night Road Trip” and went aurora hunting for two consecutive days, guided by our guide Romain on October 2025.
On the first day, we had better weather conditions and were able to see the Northern Lights from a lake. The aurora was reflected on the water, creating an incredibly beautiful scene—something our eyes could hardly believe. The sky was also clear, and all the stars were visible, along with even some planets, like Jupiter.
On the second day, we traveled a bit farther to find a sky with fewer clouds and were able to see the aurora in a forested area, where the moon also put on a beautiful show. Our guide explained how the auroras form in the sky and gave us several photography tips, helping us set up our cameras so we could also take some photos and videos. We talked about the stars and planets, and both nights were filled with learning and awe.
We also got some beautiful photos taken by Romain, who was very patient, helpful, and attentive with everyone on the tour. It was clear how dedicated he was to making the tour the best it could be for everyone—well-prepared to find the best spots, knowledgeable in his explanations, and even concerned about whether everyone was staying warm during the cold night.
We had a safe trip back to the hotel, and the adrenaline from seeing the auroras stayed with us for a long time! I wish everyone could have this experience one day—and preferably with this team, who clearly loves what they do! We definitely recommend it and hope to return someday!

An exceptional four-day road trip. The clouds made things really difficult for Lorenzo, who managed to find us viewing spots every night. Three countries in four days, and every night, magnificent Northern Lights. The road trip is also about discovering landscapes, countries, hiking, sharing, and lots of laughter. Lorenzo, Luisa, and Luke have a wonderful, infectious energy; they go out of their way to allow us to experience a magical moment every day. They are only satisfied when we can see the Northern Lights. My next trip is already booked, with Arctic Road Trips of course.

I have been following these guys on instagram since forever. I was finally able to join their tour and they more than delivered.
The weather was horrendous with a big cloud blanket covering all of Scandinavia. Lorenzo and Luisa asked everyone that could to join a day earlier (for free 😱) to ensure the best chance of seeing it. And that was a sick night! Then Lorenzo and Luke raced us across Finland, Norway AND Sweden for the official tour to give us the best possible chance. And we saw aurora all 5 nights!! They went above and beyond to give you the best experience, teaching you about aurora and the region along the way.
During the day there was plenty of time for other things such as hikes. We did a lot. These guys are pros and on top of that funny! It was an absolute joy to join them. Everything was neatly arranged, communication was easy and fast, transport was great and they took care of accommodations. If I return to this area I will 100% join their tours again. The passion of these guys is unmatched and it is a joy to be able to share in that. (They also take sick shots of you 🙌🏻)

After following Lorenzo on Instagram for a couple of years I finally had the chance to go on two aurora hunts with Arctic Road Trips, one with Luke and one with Romain, and both experiences were amazing.

On the first night, the weather looked hopeless with thick clouds everywhere, but Luke didn’t give up and decided to take us all the way to Sweden. After hours and hours of chasing clear skies, we finally got to witness a beautiful aurora, something I’ll never forget as it was my very first one!

The second night was completely different: the aurora showed up early and gave us an amazing show right away. But instead of stopping there, Romain kept driving us to different spots as the aurora shifted and the conditions changed, making sure we had the best possible views for as long as we could.

What really stood out is how passionate they all are. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and they’ll go above and beyond to make sure you have the best chance to experience the magic of the northern lights.

If you’re considering booking with them, don’t hesitate. You’ll be in the best hands!

Aurora road tripping for Luisa and Lorenzo is amazing. They are the absolutely best in Lapland. Our multi night road trip was a success where we saw the aurora almost every night and caught the most amazing display I’ve seen in my life. Lorenzo did all of the driving and we camped in amazing locations in Norway. We toured the entire Lapland, saw wild foxes and had really great food in Finnish Lapland. They took care of everything for our small group. That included bringing camping gear for us, picking us up and dropping us off, plus taking photos and videos for us. They’re super knowledgeable and their passion cannot be matched! I can’t wait for my next trip to Rovaniemi and joining Lorenzo and Luisa again!

What can I say? Fantastic!! Hunting the Northern Lights is a thrilling experience, something you should try at least once in your life, and if possible, with the guys at Arctic Road Trips! They do it out of passion, so they'd go looking for a spot of clear sky to see the Northern Lights show anyway, and they get excited like children when it happens, so what better way to support them in their dream? Tourists who spend excessively on everything are right to help this team monetize their passion and make a living from it. They're also so passionate about this topic that they're keen to share technical details and everything needed to understand the phenomenon. They're all friendly, kind, down-to-earth, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable, and they take spectacular photos! Diana is also super friendly, sensitive, and witty, and I felt very much in tune with her. Luisa has been the best guide i have ever had, the ability to drive 8 hours or more to hunt auroras is impressive, also how she cares about everyone if you are confortable and warm. You will have the real "HUNT" experience. I didn't just see one aurora, I saw a completely show, an endless dance of auroras, more than 4 hours and 3 days, you gave me one of the best life time experience Luisa, muchas gracias. I couldn´t ask for better first experience i even cry seeing the Norwegian Fjords. 100% recommend doing road trips, because you will not only see the auroras, but also the beautiful landscapes of Scandinavia, i think Luisa and Lorenzo know all the roads and the best spots in Sweden, Norway and Finland :P, is impressive and them knowledge about auroras is other level! Many thanks Luisa, for your kindness and the dedication you give, that at the end made me love the aurora and Lapland :))))) Gracias Lu

After two previous attempts (in other countries and years) to see the northern lights, I finally decided I had to join a trip with ART after watching Lorenzo in an Italian TV show. And the dream came true! 😍 Lorenzo and Luisa are so driven by their passion that they go all the way and beyond to make you experience the magic of aurora, too! I loved the road trip in small groups (so you get to know and bond with the others quite quickly), the nice accommodations, and the whole experience as you get to see Finland (and perhaps Sweden and Norway too) by day (lovely hike also!) and hunt for aurora at night. Lorenzo does make it a thrilling adventure so be prepared for long nights in the wild (with freezing temperatures in winter and in some cases no toilets for a long time - just so you are aware) that you will never forget! The cold, the long drive, the wait, everything is just so worth it when you get to see those magical lights! I am pretty sure I'll do it again and I would definitely choose ART again because they are simply the best! 💚💜❤️

Just got back from my first Aurora road trip with Lorenzo and Luke and wow, what an experience I will never forget! Not only did we get to see some amazing Aurora's, but the day activities (hiking & nature sight seeing) were an amazing bonus to the trip. We had heard that there were many companies in Rovaniemi offering Northern Lights tours, but we also came across some negative reviews about them. So, my girlfriend and I found Lorenzo’s page on Instagram and quickly realized he was the best in the business.

Diana is a very passionate person, she is friendly and we had a fantastic aurora hunting night.

We were very lucky on that day and we have seen the aurora after 30 min after the tour was started but she decided to took us in other wonderful place and give us the opportunity to see more auroras and then the explosion of it.

Everything was absolutely fantastic, she took beautiful photos that will be for us one of the best memories.

Seeing the aurora is something that gives to you emotions that are difficult to express. Is one of my and my partner dream and we couldn’t have better person as Diana.

Se il tempo è troppo brutto ovunque sia possibile raggiungerlo in una notte, cancelliamo il tour anche per non far perdere tempo a tutti. Se ci è possibile, cerchiamo di organizzare la possibilità di partecipare il giorno successivo, se lo desideri. Questo non possiamo garantirlo, ma facciamo del nostro meglio 🙂

Riceverai un link a Google Drive via Whatsapp con le foto del tour entro due giorni dal tour. Tutte inviate in alta qualità.

A che ora inizia il tour?

Decidiamo l’orario di partenza ogni giorno individualmente, a seconda del tempo, dell’attività solare e del tempo di guida. In ogni caso iniziano tra le 15:30 e le 20:00 – a seconda delle condizioni di ogni giorno.

Cosa succede se non vediamo l'Aurora?

L’aurora è pur sempre un fenomeno naturale, il che significa che può ancora accadere che ci sia una notte in cui non riusciamo a vederla. Come? A volte il cielo può essere limpido come il cristallo, ma l’attività dell’Aurora è troppo bassa. Oppure le previsioni del tempo sono state sbagliate o c’è una nebbia o delle nuvole inaspettate.

Se per qualche motivo non dovessimo vederli, pagherai solo 20 euro a persona per coprire la benzina e una parte delle nostre spese.

Se ne abbiamo la possibilità, cerchiamo di offrirti di iscriverti di nuovo il giorno successivo, se lo desideri.

Cosa portare con sé durante il tour e cosa indossare?

Durante il tour potremo trascorrere molte ore all’aperto, quindi porta con te indumenti caldi (pantaloni a zampa, giacca grande e guanti). Inoltre, puoi portare con te snack e bevande.
