La nostra storia
Ciao, siamo Lorenzo e Luisa.
La nostra storia è iniziata con l’amore comune per la selvaggia natura artica della Lapponia e soprattutto per l’aurora boreale. Da quando abbiamo fatto della Lapponia la nostra casa, abbiamo viaggiato per catturare il maggior numero possibile di spettacoli. Siamo diventati due fotografi appassionati ed è per questo che ogni foto che vedi sul nostro sito web è stata scattata da noi, durante i nostri inseguimenti. Da questa passione abbiamo fondato la nostra azienda Arctic Road Trips. Siamo una piccola azienda con sede a Rovaniemi, in Finlandia, specializzata nella caccia all’aurora boreale. Per qualche anno siamo stati solo noi due a gestire l’azienda e ora abbiamo la fortuna di avere intorno a noi una piccola cerchia di persone che condividono esattamente la nostra stessa passione e i nostri stessi valori. Ci concentriamo sulla qualità, sull’onestà, sul rapporto personale e sul fatto di fare il passo più lungo della gamba, a volte letteralmente, guidando per centinaia di chilometri alla ricerca di cieli limpidi.
Vogliamo mostrarti la bellezza e la pace che vediamo nella natura e nell’aurora. Per noi ogni tour è personale. Ogni notte è unica. Vogliamo condividere con te la passione e l’avventura del nord.

Lorenzo
Lorenzo è originario di Verona e sognava fin dall’età di 6 anni di vedere l’aurora boreale in Lapponia. Nel 2016, all’età di 24 anni, ha avuto la possibilità di trasferirsi in Finlandia come studente in scambio per i suoi studi per diventare ingegnere ambientale. Da allora vive in Lapponia inseguendo il suo sogno. È appassionato di aurora boreale e della sua scienza e vuole saperne sempre di più.
Inoltre, è un astrofotografo di talento e ama immortalare l’aurora boreale. Lorenzo ha potuto accumulare una grande esperienza nel campo delle guide e nell’Artico, oltre a un’immensa conoscenza della natura artica e dei contesti culturali. Per quanto riguarda l’aurora boreale, è un esperto in tutto: luoghi migliori, fotografia o fisica – puoi chiedergli qualsiasi cosa.

Luisa
Luisa è originaria della Germania. Dopo la scuola superiore e un anno trascorso in Australia, ha iniziato a studiare turismo in Germania. Nel 2020 si è trasferita a Rovaniemi, in Finlandia, come studentessa di scambio. Si è innamorata della splendida natura della Lapponia, dei suoi ampi paesaggi e dell’aurora boreale. Il piano originale di rimanere per un semestre è stato rapidamente cancellato. È una fotografa appassionata di paesaggi e di aurore boreali.

Ciao, sono Diana e vengo dal Portogallo. Ho viaggiato da sola in 31 paesi e durante uno di questi viaggi ho scoperto che volevo cambiare tutta la mia vita. Non appena ho messo piede in Lapponia per la prima volta nel 2022, ho capito che quella sarebbe stata la mia casa. Nello stesso anno ho lasciato il mio lavoro in Portogallo e ho fatto le valigie per seguire il mio sogno… e non mi sono mai guardata indietro. Per me non c’è sensazione migliore che salire in macchina e andare a caccia di aurore.
Il fatto che sia anche il mio lavoro è un bonus, ma per me significa molto di più. Ogni notte è sempre composta per il 10% da lavoro e per il 90% da passione e amore, e forse è proprio questa la chiave.
In nessun altro luogo, se non con l’aurora boreale sopra la mia testa, riesco a sentire tanta libertà e pace. Se non credi che esista qualcosa di più grande di noi, dovresti vivere una di queste notti magiche con noi!

Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Luke! Non vedo l’ora di conoscere tutti. Ho trascorso la maggior parte della mia vita in Colorado, ma sono cresciuto in tutto il mondo e ho trascorso molto tempo in Europa. La cosa che preferisco fare è viaggiare. Adoro stare all’aria aperta, fotografare, vivere qualsiasi avventura e sono decisamente fissato con l’Aurora haha. Ho conosciuto Luisa e Lorenzo tre stagioni fa e abbiamo passato dei bei momenti. Ora sono molto felice di far parte della squadra!
Non vedo l’ora di conoscere tutti voi. Ci divertiremo un mondo e creeremo dei ricordi sotto l’aurora boreale.

Sono originario della parte francese del Belgio. La mia passione per la fotografia è iniziata a 16 anni, poiché volevo riportare le immagini della fauna selvatica dai miei luoghi. Sempre attratto dal freddo, ho trascorso 10 anni come istruttore di sci tra Canada, Nuova Zelanda, Australia e Svizzera.

Ciao a tutti! Sono Marco, vengo dall’Italia!
Il mio sogno di vedere l’aurora boreale è iniziato nel 2005, quando i miei genitori mi regalarono il DVD di Fratello Orso. Avevo 11 anni… e da quel momento qualcosa si è acceso dentro di me. Il 6 febbraio 2024 ho finalmente visto la mia prima aurora, grazie a Lorenzo, e da quella notte tutto è cambiato. Nell’ultimo anno ho viaggiato attraverso la Norvegia, la Svezia, la Finlandia e l’Islanda per vedere l’aurora il maggior numero di notti possibile.
Ho studiato psicologia, perché amo davvero far sentire bene le persone che mi circondano.
E ora il mio sogno è quello di aiutarti a vivere l’aurora boreale, proprio come qualcuno ha fatto con me.

Il nostro sogno è quello di condividere con te la magia dell’aurora boreale e i luoghi più mozzafiato della Lapponia e dell’Artico. Vogliamo darti la migliore possibilità di assistere a questa meraviglia della natura, ed è per questo che ogni viaggio viene pianificato con flessibilità, seguendo sempre il tempo e il ritmo della natura stessa. In questo modo, massimizziamo la possibilità di trovarti sotto l’Aurora danzante. Crediamo nella qualità, nell’onestà, nel rapporto personale e nel fare davvero il passo più lungo della gamba, a volte letteralmente, guidando per centinaia di chilometri alla ricerca di cieli limpidi.
Il nostro desiderio più profondo non è solo quello di farti vedere l’aurora boreale, ma anche di farti sentire un vero legame con la natura selvaggia della Lapponia e la sua bellezza senza tempo. Lu & Lorenzo are the best in the business, they are extremely welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. They went above & beyond outside of hunting the Aurora to ensure our trip was one to remember, whether that was through hikes in the Artic nature, stopping at hidden gems to enjoy the local cuisine, stopping at view points to take in the breath taking views of Scandinavia or simply pulling off the side of the road to watch the reindeers cross.
Their passion and love for the northern lights is reflected in the effort they put into every tour. This trip was worth every cent and I will be returning in the future. 😌

We went on a Northern Lights hunt on November 5th, 2025, guided by the amazing Lorenzo and oh my goodness, what an unforgettable experience! ✨ The sky was literally dancing before our eyes! We watched every magical second with our own eyes, completely mesmerized. It felt like the universe was putting on a private show just for us. 🤍🤍
We’re definitely coming back to Rovaniemi to do this tour again as soon as possible! I was traveling alone, and it was great — the group was relatively small, so it was easy to talk to everyone, and at no point did I feel alone in the end. And on top of everything, you get access to all the photos afterward, with amazing quality to keep those memories.

I recently went on a 4-day Aurora hunting adventure with Arctic Road Trips, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life! Our guides, Lorenzo and Luisa, were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just doing their jobs as guides or business owners — their true passion for chasing the Northern Lights shone through every single night.
What stood out most was their dedication and enthusiasm. They didn’t hesitate to drive over 500 km one way just to find clear skies and give us the best chance to see the aurora. And their efforts paid off — we witnessed breathtaking Aurora shows on all four nights, each in a different stunning location!
Our journey began in Rovaniemi, Finland, and from there, the adventure took us across borders — to Norway on the first two nights (when weather in Finland didn’t cooperate), then to Sweden on the third day, and finally back to Finland for the grand finale. Each night was unique and magical in its own way.
Daytimes were equally exciting — we went on scenic hikes, spent relaxing moments in saunas, and stayed in some of the coziest accommodations (could see aurora from here as well😉) handpicked by the team. Every detail was perfectly planned, making the whole trip smooth and unforgettable.
A big shout-out to Lorenzo and Luisa for their warmth, knowledge, and endless energy — and of course, to the amazing group of fellow travelers who made this experience even more special🥹

On the first day, we had better weather conditions and were able to see the Northern Lights from a lake. The aurora was reflected on the water, creating an incredibly beautiful scene—something our eyes could hardly believe. The sky was also clear, and all the stars were visible, along with even some planets, like Jupiter.
On the second day, we traveled a bit farther to find a sky with fewer clouds and were able to see the aurora in a forested area, where the moon also put on a beautiful show. Our guide explained how the auroras form in the sky and gave us several photography tips, helping us set up our cameras so we could also take some photos and videos. We talked about the stars and planets, and both nights were filled with learning and awe.
We also got some beautiful photos taken by Romain, who was very patient, helpful, and attentive with everyone on the tour. It was clear how dedicated he was to making the tour the best it could be for everyone—well-prepared to find the best spots, knowledgeable in his explanations, and even concerned about whether everyone was staying warm during the cold night.
We had a safe trip back to the hotel, and the adrenaline from seeing the auroras stayed with us for a long time! I wish everyone could have this experience one day—and preferably with this team, who clearly loves what they do! We definitely recommend it and hope to return someday!
The weather was horrendous with a big cloud blanket covering all of Scandinavia. Lorenzo and Luisa asked everyone that could to join a day earlier (for free 😱) to ensure the best chance of seeing it. And that was a sick night! Then Lorenzo and Luke raced us across Finland, Norway AND Sweden for the official tour to give us the best possible chance. And we saw aurora all 5 nights!! They went above and beyond to give you the best experience, teaching you about aurora and the region along the way.
During the day there was plenty of time for other things such as hikes. We did a lot. These guys are pros and on top of that funny! It was an absolute joy to join them. Everything was neatly arranged, communication was easy and fast, transport was great and they took care of accommodations. If I return to this area I will 100% join their tours again. The passion of these guys is unmatched and it is a joy to be able to share in that. (They also take sick shots of you 🙌🏻)
On the first night, the weather looked hopeless with thick clouds everywhere, but Luke didn’t give up and decided to take us all the way to Sweden. After hours and hours of chasing clear skies, we finally got to witness a beautiful aurora, something I’ll never forget as it was my very first one!
The second night was completely different: the aurora showed up early and gave us an amazing show right away. But instead of stopping there, Romain kept driving us to different spots as the aurora shifted and the conditions changed, making sure we had the best possible views for as long as we could.
What really stood out is how passionate they all are. You can tell they genuinely love what they do, and they’ll go above and beyond to make sure you have the best chance to experience the magic of the northern lights.
If you’re considering booking with them, don’t hesitate. You’ll be in the best hands!
