Entrambi ci siamo innamorati della natura artica della Lapponia, in particolare dell’Aurora Boreale. Abbiamo trascorso innumerevoli notti a caccia delle luci e abbiamo trasformato la nostra passione e l’Artico nella nostra casa. Da questa passione abbiamo fondato Arctic Road Trips, una piccola azienda di Rovaniemi specializzata in tour a caccia di aurore.
Abbiamo avuto l’idea di creare gli Aurora Road Trips. È un nostro concetto, pensato per massimizzare le possibilità di vedere l’Aurora Boreale vivendo al tempo stesso la bellezza incontaminata dell’Artico. Ogni foto che vedi qui è stata scattata da noi lungo il cammino.

AURORA ROAD TRIP
In questo viaggio di più giorni dedicato all’aurora, lasciamo che sia la natura a decidere dove andare. Ogni giorno seguiamo il cielo più limpido, che può condurci ovunque nel nord della Finlandia, della Svezia o della Norvegia. Abbiamo sviluppato questo concetto, il primo al mondo, per darti le migliori possibilità di vedere l’Aurora.
Finora, ogni singolo viaggio ha raggiunto una percentuale di successo dell’aurora del 100%. Ma il viaggio non è solo Aurora: lungo il percorso vedrai la bellezza dell’Artico: foreste tranquille, montagne innevate o fiordi mozzafiato.

ONE NIGHT AURORA TOUR
Il nostro tour di caccia all’aurora di una notte parte da Rovaniemi, in Finlandia, con un unico vero obiettivo: mostrarti l’aurora boreale. Non sprechiamo la tua notte: partiamo solo quando c’è una reale possibilità di vederle.
Il nostro tour non ha limiti di tempo o di distanza. Che si tratti di 200 km o di 800 km, ci spingiamo fino a dove è necessario per raggiungere il cielo limpido e darti le migliori possibilità.

NATIONAL PARK TOURS
In questo viaggio scoprirai un’altra parte della Lapponia, con paesaggi ancora più selvaggi e incontaminati. Nel Parco Nazionale di Riisitunturi potrai camminare tra i famosi “giganti di neve”, alberi talmente ricoperti di neve da pesare fino a due tonnellate. È un luogo tranquillo e quasi surreale.

They went above & beyond outside of hunting the Aurora to ensure our trip was one to remember, whether that was through hikes in the Artic nature, stopping at hidden gems to enjoy the local cuisine, stopping at view points to take in the breath taking views of Scandinavia or simply pulling off the side of the road to watch the reindeers cross.
Their passion and love for the northern lights is reflected in the effort they put into every tour. This trip was worth every cent and I will be returning in the future. 😌

I and my friends had nothing but a great experience! Our guide was Marco and he was super nice and super passionate about the auroras. The journey could be tiring because it may take time for the auroras to appear really brightly but Marco does really well on keeping our spirits up and keeping us excited so I really appreciated that, and he really made an effort to give us the best aurora experience. I also really appreciated the fact that the team is flexible when it comes to moving our booked date at no additional cost or giving us other options if the weather was tricky. If there is one person in the world that you need to rely on to chase the aurora, Lorenzo is the ultimate guide that you're looking for. It has been a while that I met someone who is so passionate about what they're doing. It was not only an unforgettable memory for us but also a living inspiration for me how we could live our lives. Chasing Lights, Not Sausages — Our Arctic Adventure in Rovaniemi!
We went on a Northern Lights hunt on November 5th, 2025, guided by the amazing Lorenzo and oh my goodness, what an unforgettable experience! ✨ The sky was literally dancing before our eyes! We watched every magical second with our own eyes, completely mesmerized. It felt like the universe was putting on a private show just for us. 🤍🤍
We’re definitely coming back to Rovaniemi to do this tour again as soon as possible! This time we weren’t chasing sausages we were truly chasing the Northern Lights! 😄 And wow, what an adventure it was! Every second felt like pure Arctic magic. Huge thanks to Lorenzo for making it absolutely unforgettable! 🌌❄️

Lorenzo and Luisa are not just tour guides — they truly love the auroras, and that makes all the difference! You can be sure they will do everything possible to find the best spot and ensure the best experience. On the days I went, there were clouds almost everywhere, and we still managed to see two incredible shows! And that’s not even counting the daytime moments. When we weren’t driving from one place to another, we visited fjords, and some of the places where we spent the nights were absolutely stunning.
I was traveling alone, and it was great — the group was relatively small, so it was easy to talk to everyone, and at no point did I feel alone in the end. And on top of everything, you get access to all the photos afterward, with amazing quality to keep those memories.

I recently went on a 4-day Aurora hunting adventure with Arctic Road Trips, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life! Our guides, Lorenzo and Luisa, were absolutely incredible. They weren’t just doing their jobs as guides or business owners — their true passion for chasing the Northern Lights shone through every single night.
What stood out most was their dedication and enthusiasm. They didn’t hesitate to drive over 500 km one way just to find clear skies and give us the best chance to see the aurora. And their efforts paid off — we witnessed breathtaking Aurora shows on all four nights, each in a different stunning location!
Our journey began in Rovaniemi, Finland, and from there, the adventure took us across borders — to Norway on the first two nights (when weather in Finland didn’t cooperate), then to Sweden on the third day, and finally back to Finland for the grand finale. Each night was unique and magical in its own way.
Daytimes were equally exciting — we went on scenic hikes, spent relaxing moments in saunas, and stayed in some of the coziest accommodations (could see aurora from here as well😉) handpicked by the team. Every detail was perfectly planned, making the whole trip smooth and unforgettable.

Our Northern Lights hunt with the Arctic Road Trip team was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives! We chose the “One Night Road Trip” and went aurora hunting for two consecutive days, guided by our guide Romain on October 2025.
On the first day, we had better weather conditions and were able to see the Northern Lights from a lake. The aurora was reflected on the water, creating an incredibly beautiful scene—something our eyes could hardly believe. The sky was also clear, and all the stars were visible, along with even some planets, like Jupiter.
On the second day, we traveled a bit farther to find a sky with fewer clouds and were able to see the aurora in a forested area, where the moon also put on a beautiful show. Our guide explained how the auroras form in the sky and gave us several photography tips, helping us set up our cameras so we could also take some photos and videos. We talked about the stars and planets, and both nights were filled with learning and awe.
We also got some beautiful photos taken by Romain, who was very patient, helpful, and attentive with everyone on the tour. It was clear how dedicated he was to making the tour the best it could be for everyone—well-prepared to find the best spots, knowledgeable in his explanations, and even concerned about whether everyone was staying warm during the cold night.
We had a safe trip back to the hotel, and the adrenaline from seeing the auroras stayed with us for a long time! I wish everyone could have this experience one day—and preferably with this team, who clearly loves what they do! We definitely recommend it and hope to return someday!

An exceptional four-day road trip. The clouds made things really difficult for Lorenzo, who managed to find us viewing spots every night. Three countries in four days, and every night, magnificent Northern Lights. The road trip is also about discovering landscapes, countries, hiking, sharing, and lots of laughter. Lorenzo, Luisa, and Luke have a wonderful, infectious energy; they go out of their way to allow us to experience a magical moment every day. They are only satisfied when we can see the Northern Lights. My next trip is already booked, with Arctic Road Trips of course.

The weather was horrendous with a big cloud blanket covering all of Scandinavia. Lorenzo and Luisa asked everyone that could to join a day earlier (for free 😱) to ensure the best chance of seeing it. And that was a sick night! Then Lorenzo and Luke raced us across Finland, Norway AND Sweden for the official tour to give us the best possible chance. And we saw aurora all 5 nights!! They went above and beyond to give you the best experience, teaching you about aurora and the region along the way.
During the day there was plenty of time for other things such as hikes. We did a lot. These guys are pros and on top of that funny! It was an absolute joy to join them. Everything was neatly arranged, communication was easy and fast, transport was great and they took care of accommodations. If I return to this area I will 100% join their tours again.
